Our full time, half-day, part-time, and after school child care and preschool options are for children ages 6 weeks old to 12 years old from Marion, Indiana and surrounding areas of Grant County. Our preschool offers small child-to-teacher ratios as well as highly educated and trained teachers and staff. Nutritious meals and snacks are provided. Our preschool accepts CCDF vouchers. We also offer transportation for our After School program.

Why Choose Westminster Preschool?

Our preschool is a Level 3 Paths to Quality and follows NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) guidelines to provide a developmentally appropriate environment and learning experience.

According to NAEYC, developmentally approproate practice provides children with opportunities to learn and practice newly acquired skills. It offers challenges just beyond the level of their present mastery and it takes place “in the context of a community where children are safe and valued, where their physical needs are met, and where they feel psycologically secure.”

We follow the Indiana Early Learning Foundations, developed by the Department of Education. These standards ensure our preschool children are well prepared for Kindergarten.

Infant Program

We understand one of the hardest things as a parent is trusting someone with your most prized possession, your child. We try to make this transition as easy on you and the child as possible. Our staff will love your child like their own. We respect the infants individualized schedule with naps and feedings. Our babies also follow our curriculum, and learn by following the Indiana Early Learning Foundations. One of our parent's favorite features is the Brightwheel App we use to communicate with them throughout the day. The app will send pictures directly to your phone, and provide you with messages and updates on your child throughout the day!

Preschool Program

This age group is our 3-4 year olds. This group works on skills in preparation with our Pre-K class and skills they will use in Kindergarten. Learning self-help skills as well as cooperation and self-regulation is important at this age. We follow the Indiana Early Learning Foundations when we build our curriculum using the Creative Curriculum approach. Our curriculum focuses on the whole child, the activities are built around the needs of the children. We also build the children's character through our Christian curriculum and themes.
